The aim of the course is give an understanding of wheel design and technology,the course includes hands on lacing and truing techniques. The course is aimed at enthusiats who would like to learn more about the art of wheel building.

 

By the end of the 1 day course, you will have the skills and understanding of the following.
 
  • Why different components and materials are used, rims, spokes, hubs, etc.
  • Calculate spoke length correctly.
  • Lace 3 cross pattern wheel.
  • Wheel truing and spoke tensioning.
 
Course numbers will be kept to a maximum of 4 in order to ensure the highest level of teacher/participant interaction so places are limited.
